Our TEAM – The FIRST People YOU Meet on Vacation

Travel isn’t just about the destination and things you see, but about the PEOPLE you meet along the way.  When you plan a trip, those on our team are some of the first people you meet in any travel experience, so I thought today I’d highlight the four core members of our team that have the most direct interface with our clients, and some of their thoughts on YOUR travel:

Peri – Sales Support and Bookings Admin

When you’ll hear from Peri:  Questions about existing bookings.

  • Favorite Travel Destination:  California, the weather is always gorgeous!
  • Best place for a City Stay:  New York City! All the good stuff is usually within walking distance and the food is so unbelievably good.
  • Travel Challenge:  Took a road trip to Banff, Alberta and our car ended up breaking down on the way in a remote area.
  • Vacation disaster story:  I traveled to Miami and lost my rental car keys in the Ocean!
  • Best Travel Tip:  Travel light if possible.  It makes getting through the Airport easier.
  • Favourite foreign food:  Chimichangas! I could eat these for the rest of my life!
  • Top destination on your travel list:  Japan!!  I absolutely love the culture and can’t wait to see some of those beautiful Cherry Blossom trees!

Kim – Sales

When you’ll deal with Kim:  When you’re deciding on a new trip.

  • Most recent trip: “I’m on Sea Cloud in the Western Med right now!. It’s INCREDIBLE!”
  • Favorite Travel Destination:  Florence, Italy… known for its food, WINE and culture.
  • Favorite Cruise Destination:  Mekong River – Vietnam and Cambodia.
  • Best place for a City Stay:  Edinburgh, Scotland.  Medieval and historic, great pubs, vibrant nightlife, more trees than people and of course the stunning Edinburgh Castle.
  • Best travel experience:  Taking 120 of my clients to dinner at Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin.
  • Vacation disaster story:  The two cancelled because of COVID – Malta and Marrakech.
  • Best Travel Tip:  Good walking shoes especially in Europe.

Bob:  Sales & Marketing

When you’ll deal with Bob:  You’ll see him on our YouTube Channel.  The destinations he’s most often called upon for are the Galapagos and Antarctica.  He’s pretty good at Europe, too!

  • Favorite Destination:  Zanzibar – a crossroads of culture and history.
  • Best Cruise Destination: Croatia – as spectacular as Greece & Turkey, but less crowded.
  • Best City Stay:  San Miguel de Allende – this small city in Mexico is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and a great place to wander around for a few days.
  • Travel Story:  Accidentally met the President of Poland in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
  • Travel Disaster Story:  “I slept on a dock in Western Australia.  Got there too late to find a hotel room.  I was young and stupid, so it was all part of the adventure.”

Sue: Oversight and Systems Improvement

When you’ll deal with me:  I look over everyone’s trip at some point, and you get a lot of reminders from me about upcoming deadlines.

  • Best Travel Tip: – Always try out the Metro.  It’s a great way to orient yourself to a new city and often requires you to figure out the currency at the same time.  I like doing this because it gives me a feel for what it’s like to be a local in the destination.
  • Top travel bucket list destination: Rwanda (to visit the Mountain Gorillas).
  • Top CRUISE bucket list: Northwest Passage on a small expedition ship.
  • Travel disaster story:  Confused my flight TIME and flight NUMBER.  Missed the plane.

We work differently than just about any other travel agency because ALL of us are involved in just about every client trip.  We do this so that each of us can play to our strengths, and so we can be the MOST effective to turnaround your queries and questions about your journey.

We’ve always said travel isn’t just about ships and itineraries—it’s about PEOPLE. When you call or email us, you’re not dealing with a call center or a faceless booking engine. You’re connecting with a small but mighty crew who know your style, remember your favorites, and genuinely care about making your next journey unforgettable.

We’re proud of this little MOM & POP shoppe and the people that make it work.  Hopefully this has given you a little more insight into who is on the other side of the phone call or email mail exchange.

Recently booked a Viking Cruise?

Viking makes it really easy to book direct, either online, by phone, or on board.  Our clients worry that if they book on-line, that they’re cutting us out, but if you let us know after you’ve booked, then we can still help you with your reservation (even if you booked ON BOARD).

We’ll check over your reservation to make sure you’re getting the best possible deal, and we will also add some onboard credits that are not available on direct bookings.

We can add at least $100 per person onboard credit to any direct Viking reservation made in the last 60 days.

There is never a situation where you’ll get a better deal by booking directly with Viking (or any other cruise line).

If you recently booked a Viking Cruise, please let us know as soon as possible.

If you’re planning a trip, I’d love to help! Click here or call 800-876-0168 to get in touch today.

I look forward to hearing from you.
